Planning the routes

Preparing the TransAm Adventure, I have made an MS-Excel-sheet with possible day routes for the trip.

Budget

I am planning to use a budget of max. $30 a day, cooking most of the days myself, camping most of the days and enjoying the trip of a lifetime. I did read some journals in which two people didn't spent more than $750 a month for the two of them (!). So I think it must be possible.

Statistics

I really love them so I will build up a lot of statistics. Possible statistics:

• day of the week
• date
• miles
• Average
• Kilometres
• Average
• Stopping place
• Type off lodging Camping, Motel, B&B, at people’s home(?)
• Costs of Lodging
• Costs of food
• Costs of miscellaneous
• Total costs
• Weather, temperature and wind direction
• A lot off extra information from the height meter (if possible) and other things.
